Aluzheki Separated - Chapter 3
“NO!” Tahmr screamed. “Please, you can’t! We’re not a threat-”
Arsis stood up and raised her hand again. He withdrew and was silent. “You do not understand, Ripling. We will not march to war. At least, that isn’t our intention. If what you say is true, then no harm will come to Ripur, and I will need to rethink my approach of this matter. It is difficult to believe your testimony, but you sound sincere.” She smiled and sat down again. “Gather the watchmen, and also, bring me the record from the library. I want to study Ripur’s history to see if they are as peaceful as he cl

The next morning was clear and bright. The sky was cloudless, and the sun had just risen over the valley. Tahmr lay in bed, pondering his options. Kandrim hated him, and would almost certainly try something to have him killed or to launch an attack on Ripur. A massive burden was now on his shoulders, and it weighed him down, holding him to his bed. He wished he never went to the lake.
In spite of the weight, he climbed out of bed and quickly slid his feet into his boots. Kandrim was more than likely already waiting for him. She’ll probably leave sooner than later, insisting that he never showed up. He grabbed a dark cloak, threw it ov

The valley was on fire. That’s what Tahmr’s mother would say every autumn, when the trees in the valley turned golden, and the chilly northern wind blew down from the mountains, sending the leaves flying upwards like the embers from a roaring fire. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and one of many sights that the people of Ripur were looking forward to as summer came to an end. It had been a peculiarly hot summer, filled with seemingly endless days of growing vegetables in the garden and herding the sheep to new pastures. Tahmr, who had been tasked with both chores, was thoroughly exhausted, and noticeably more tan than he us
For wisdom I've laid down
These old things that I've found
But it's worth it just to see
How your smile changes me
Seeking to understand
Fearing the world's demands
Never will I ever see the end of it
I never said that every single second
of my life would make sense
So without simplicity
We seek the only certainty
What promise is this?
Numquam Fidelis!
Undaunted, unbroken
Uncertainly I stand
On the edge of "I don't know"
Kiss my hand and let me go
Wandering far form home
Fear fear of the unknown
Never will I ever see the end of it
I never said that every single second
of my life would make sense
So without simplicity
We seek the only
There are places in the world. Secret places.
Secret because they are both hidden and known by few.
And also because they hide secrets themselves.
But what do they hide? Where can they be found?
If you are patient, you will know.
To find one, you must be brave. Are you brave?
You must also be smart. How smart are you?
It helps to be strong, quick, and cunning.
Because, as most secrets are, these places are kept secret.
Kept.
Even if you knew where they were, you could never reach them unless you were prepared.
Some are guarded.
Some exist in places so remote that no human has ever been there.
Some have been visited many times, but people
People often ask "what is the meaning of life?" For thousands of years, philosophers, prophets, scientists, and artists have tried to find and express the answer to this question. Well, I am here to tell you this: meaning is a human invention. We impose it on the universe, but it does not obey our thinking. Science is amended daily and religion fades into tradition. The only constant is the infinite majesty and mystery of the universe, which continues to change, oblivious to us. We are not its masters nor its creators. Breathe. Think. Feel. Understand. That is you, experiencing, but not creating. Feeling, but not imposing. The true beauty o
I've always listened to the sounds, they're my only stimulation. Noises, words, music, it's all I've had these long years. When I was first brought here I heard only crying. The incessant screaming, it tormented me. A year later I heard words, the first words. The crying was still there, though much less frequent. I could have entire days of peace. But I wanted more, no, I needed more. I heard more words, other voices, movement, laughter, and all these new sounds. I loved hearing these sounds.
Then I heard mechanical sounds. Machines, cars, computers, toys, all of the hi-tech equipment your civilization had produced. I loved these most o
Follow me, love,
To where they pretend
To the pinnacle's peak
Ascend, Ascend
Go far away,
To the edge of the End
Beyond the last space
Ascend, Ascend
Look for me there,
Near the great river's bend
Past viridian hills
Ascend, Ascend
If you can't make the journey,
Forget me not, friend
For now I can never
Descend, Descend

My first big story is nearly done. Well, the first chapter anyway. So excited! I will try to update on a weekly basis. Expect it tomorrow at the earliest.
